Homemade Green Cleaning: Eco-Friendly Natural Cleaners #DIY #HomeCleaning #EcoFriendlyNaturalCleaner

Today's modern home is loaded with toxic and polluted substances that made to ease our domestic life. But this commercialized, chemical-based materials can be very dangerous to our families health and our environmental system as well.




In my home, for example, I with my father and my eldest daughter suffer from allergies, asthma, and sinusitis. So in order to avoid such illnesses or ailments, we include reducing our use with synthetic chemicals in our home environment.

Using a DIY Non-toxic home cleaning which is also an Eco-Friendly Natural Cleaners can lessen the burden for those suffering from respiratory problems same with us. And using of this products can help promote the growth of green businesses which contributes, and has a big factor in preserving a sustainable economy.

HOMEMADE SUBSTITUTIONS


  

  • White Vinegar - An item which is use for cooking, is also great in cutting grease, removes mildew, odors, some stains, and wax build-up, etc...
  • Baking Soda - cleans, deodorizes, soften waters, scours.
  • Lemon - one of the strongest food-acids, effective against household cleaning chores that kills bacteria.
  • Cornstarch or salt- use to clean windows, polish furniture, shampoo carpets and rugs(cornstarch).





How to make formulas using above basic products? I have here some easy, LESS EXPENSIVE and SAFE, alternative DIY home care products.

These are all Eco-Friendly Natural Cleaners, that we usually use in our household chores.

ALL PURPOSE CLEANER - the basic and fundamental all around cleaning formula that is use in our house.

  • Mix the 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/4 cup baking soda into a 1/2 gallon(2 Liters) water and add lemon(optional).
  • Store and keep away from children. Put proper labeling.

AIR FRESHENER - Commercialized air freshener sometimes mask smells and coat nasal passages that diminish the sense of smell.   

  • Baking soda or vinegar with lemon juice in small dish, this will absorbs odors around the house.
  • 1 tbsp vinegar and 1 cup water, prevent cooking odors by simmering vinegar on the stove while cooking.
  • Grind some slice of lemons in the garbage disposal.   

DEODORIZE

  • Plastic food container like Tupperware, soak overnight in warm water and baking soda.
  • Carpets, just sprinkle baking soda several hours before vacuum.

FLOOR CLEANER AND POLISH


  • TILES - mix 1 cup vinegar and 1 gallon(4L water). Rinse with clear water.
  • PAINTED WOOD - to avoid the discoloration of your painted wood, mix 1 tsp baking soda into 1 gallon.
  • WOOD, VINYL and LINOLEUM - 1:1 vegetable oil and vinegar and rub it into your wood floor, polish it.

These formulas will help you in cleaning your house, but don't forget to always clean your house as always. It boils down to two word "MAINTENANCE PROCESS". If you follow the right standard cleaning procedure on how to maintained your home and help create great atmosphere you will see the result, your house sparkles with cleanliness and orderliness.
